DAY OF SERVICE

It’s almost time for Day of Service! As a way to give back to our community on Giving Tuesday, our annual school-wide Day of Service will take place on Tuesday, November 28th from 8am-12pm at various sites throughout San Diego County. You can check out the sites on your Campus Ministry & Christian Service Hours canvas page. Everyone must choose a site! There will be no classes held on this day because everyone will be out serving the community. You will be responsible for arranging your own transportation to your site, so keep that in mind when you choose. You have a month to figure out rides/carpools/etc. to get to your spot on that day. This year, you will choose your site by selecting a location on the SIGN-UP GENIUS.  The sign-up will open at 12pm on Wednesday, November 1st, and remain open until Monday, November 13th. If you went to any of the parochial schools that are listed, we encourage you to return to your school and serve! There are a limited number of spots available at each site and once they are full, they are full. If you don’t get your first choice, you will need to pick another site. Any student that has not chosen a site by 11/13 will have one selected for them.

Once you have selected your site, please download and complete the permission slip or get one from campus ministry and upload it to canvas as a PDF under the assignment titled “Day of Service” by Friday, November 17th. If you have any questions about the day or how to get signed up, please reach out to Mrs. Brophy at jbrophy@sahs.org or stop by and see her in campus ministry.
