With the section divided into only two divisions, we compete with most schools much larger than Saints. The program currently competes in the Eastern League. Competing for league titles, CIF crowns and sending athletes to the State Meet and on to college has become an expectation of our track team for the past several decades. The most recent League Title came in 2019. CIF Title Finalist 2015 and 2016. CIF Title Winner 2006. Here some of the recent Saints athletes that have gone on to compete in college: Christopher Erpelding ’19 – UCSD (Sprints); Nick Heid ’16 – CS San Marcos (7th all time High Jump); Tanner Battikha ’16 – Univ. New Mexico (2019 Mountain West Indoor and Outdoor Champ); Paul Doan ’14 – UCSD (2018 CCAA champion in the 100 and 200. Holds school records in both the 100 (10.39) and 200 (21.10).
Saints fields a full JV and Varsity program with as many as 100 participants on a yearly basis in this no-cut program.
