The Saints Lacrosse program began in 2010 as a CIF sport and as such is our newest sport on campus. The program has grown over the past twelve seasons and plays as a member of the City Conference and Division 1 in the CIF playoffs.
Under the tutelage of head coach John Tolla the program has advanced each year and has grown to full varsity and junior varsity teams. If you have questions or comments please contact head coach John Tolla at firstname.lastname@example.org.
John C. Tolla, Head Coach
Coach Tolla has led the Saints Lacrosse program since 2010. Prior to Saints he had stints at Seton Hall Prep (NJ), Poway (CA) and one forgettable year at that red team up north. Coach had the honor to play for US Lacrosse Hall of Fame Coach Richard Mazzei (ND ’78). Coach Mazzei was the first MA high school coach to win 400 games and instilled in the players he coached a fire, a passion for lacrosse and life that endures for the rest of their lives.
Coach Tolla believes that the concept of winning is too often constrained to the verb “winning”. But winning is so much more than a game score. Capital “W” winning is that state of mind were you fully aware at all times that you have the God given right to be extraordinary on command. The ability to ward off defeat win or lose the game; to know that it doesn’t matter who you play but how you play. No Saintsmen is ever out of the fight.
