Monte Jackson (’71)
- Lettered in football and basketball at Saints
- All-CIF football team senior year
- Played two seasons at San Diego State intercepting 9 passes (6 in his senior year)
- Senior year played in the East/West Shrine Game and also the Blue-Gray Game
- Selected to the 1st Team All-PCAA in his senior year and 2nd Team ALL-West Coast(AP)
- Drafted in the 2nd round by the Los Angeles Rams in 1975
- Named to the UPI All-Rookie Team
- Named All-Pro and played in the Pro-Bowl in ’76 and ’77
- Played three seasons with the Rams and led the NFL in interceptions in ’76 with 10
- Traded to the Raiders in ’78 for 1st,2nd,and 3rd round picks
- Played five more seasons before knee injuries cut short his career
- 23 career interceptions and 4 touchdowns
