Football

Friday’s round one of the football playoffs will be at Mater Dei Hs with a 7pm kickoff vs Grossmont. Pit theme is Purple Out. Saints will be on the normal home side. Grossmont will be on the visitor side. We will start taking tickets at roughly 5:30pm. Mater Dei has asked us to let our fans/families know that tailgating should NOT be taking place on their campus or in their lots. Please be respectful of MD’s wishes.

Season/Pit passes no longer work for the playoffs. Everyone in attendance will need a GoFan ticket. We will have QR codes and card-readers at the gate for credit/debit cards, but NO cash will be accepted.

 

Soccer

Attention all juniors and seniors trying out for soccer…there is a brief meeting at the beginning of lunch today(tues nov 4) at 11:50  in room 227.  All freshmen and sophomores need to meet during lunch at 12:05 in room 227 as well.  Please be there on time.   See Coach Johnston if you have any questions.

 

OLP’s fall production

SIX the musical (Teen Edition) opens November 6th at 7 pm, and runs through November 8th at St. Therese Theater. It’s a competition to see who is the true queen of Henry the VIII. The one with the best song, the best dancers, and the best story WINS! Tickets: Ticket Link

 

ASB Events Next week:

Pickleball Tournament- Sign-ups Monday. $10 per team. The tournament will run all week until we have a champion.

Next Friday- ASB will be having a Fried Chicken and Mac and Cheese Sale. $7 gets you 3 pieces of golden fried chicken and a bowl of mac and cheese. And ASB will also have a Turkey Hoop contest. Come out and dunk the Turkey.

 

Saints BBL

Saints BBL will be having a beach get together this Saturday November 8th at Ocean Beach. there will be beach volleyball, and don’t forget to bring a boogie board or a surf board, and of course good vibes.

 

Turkey Trot

Turkey Trot Registration is Open! You will receive entry to the race, a limited-edition long sleeve shirt, pot pie, and Gatorade at the finish. Prizes will be awarded for the top runners! Register by November 3 to bundle with No-Shave November and receive a $10 discount. There are a limited number of spots, so make sure you don’t miss out on one of the finest traditions at Saints!

The first day of the Rugby Season will start on November 8 from 800-1000 on the Saints field. You will need to have a physical on file with Coach Richi and verified registration with Mr. Dent. Drop by room 229 to get on the roster. Information will also be posted on the Rugby Board in the second story Mendell display case. See Mr Dent if you have any questions.

Tryouts begin Saturday, November 8 in the Saints Gym. Please make sure you have a physical on file with the school. If you are unsure if you have a current physical, please see Coach Haupt. You will not be able to try out for any winter sport until a current physical is on file. All Freshman will tryout with the freshman team. If you are a sophomore, junior or senior your tryout time on Saturday, November 8 will be at noon and finish about 1:30 pm. All frosh will try out at 10:30 am and finish at noon. If you are trying out for the freshman team please visit Coach Haupt’s office ASAP in the gym and register via the QR Code that is posted on the glass. Please see Coach Haupt with any questions. Creators Club

Attention Students!! Today in room 319 at lunch we are going to be announcing some opportunities that have come to our attention that you as members can take on. We are looking forward to seeing you there to hopefully get you some service hours and/or experience working on a live set.  As well remember that the creator’s club is open to taking any work from any club leaders, or teachers so if you want to stop by to pitch a project please stop by to bring it up.  Again this is room 319 at lunch THIS Friday.

 

Kairos

Attention seniors! Kairos signups are now available for our December Kairos retreat. The retreat will take place on December 3rd-5th. The cost to attend is $185, and this includes housing, meals, transportation, and much more. Please come to Campus Ministry to pick up a permission slip. Kairos spots are first-come, first-served, and permission slips must be turned in in-person, so sign up today! Once they’re gone, they’re gone! Sign up today!

Baja Watermen

Saintsmen, The Baja Watermen will be offering a service opportunity this Saturday. We need 8 students to help distribute water at the Half Marathon on Saturday. It would be early in the morning around 700-900 at Mission Bay. Contact Mr. Dent at lunch if you are interested.  First come, first served for this opportunity.

Mexus will be celebrating Dia de Los Muertos on Monday, November 3rd. If you’d like to submit a picture for the Ofrenda you can do so using the link on Canvas. Please, submit pictures by October 30th.

Try to purchase ahead of time because WiFi can be spotty at the away ticketing gate. Questions talk to Athletic Director Matt Linville.

Do you have what it takes to complete a Modified Milk Mile?

Rules: Run 4 laps around the track. Drink 4 ounces of milk each lap. Must stop to drink.

Repeat this four times for about a mile (our track is shorter so a little less).No vomiting is allowed. If a participant vomits, they must complete a penalty lap. Fastest Time gets a Raising Canes gift card.

Attention Saintsmen, all those interested in joining the Saints Rocket League team should attend the meeting at lunch in room 420 (Mr. Hickey’s room) on Wednesday, October 22nd. We will establish contact between all of those interested and plan tryout dates for those interested in Varsity and Junior Varsity positions, as well as for those interested in casual gaming.
