The Basics
Senior Joe Saad scored two goals to power Saint Louis to a thrilling 2-1 Atlantic 10 Conference men’s soccer victory at Davidson College Wednesday night.

The win, SLU’s fifth in a row, moves the Billikens to 6-4-3 overall and 5-0-0 in the A-10. It is the first time since 2005 (SLU’s first year in the A-10) that they have started 5-0 in league play. The Wildcats fall to 3-10-1 overall and 1-3-1 in the league.

Following a scoreless first half, Saad put the Billikens on the board with an unassisted goal in the 64th minute.

Davidson’s Nathan Marder tallied the equalizer in the 81st minute, and the two teams went into overtime with the score tied at 1-1.

Saad scored again early in the overtime on assists by Saadiq Mohammed and Anthony Brown. The goals were the first of the season for Saad.
