WOW, WOW, WOW! Yesterday’s Junior-Senior Divisional championship game can only be described as a “barn-burner”. I don’t know what Coach Alcoser means by a “barn-burner”, but I can only surmise that the game was very exciting and intense. The back and forth battle ended with Legasse unabashedly expanding his belly and spinning feverishly across the line. “The Women Respecters” were closing in from everywhere trying to prevent the touchdown. In the bedlam an unfathomable vortex was created and Legasse’s flags inexplicably maintained contact into the endzone. Team “Stelllluh” was within 1 with no time on the clock. The seniors elected to go for 2 points and win the game. But the ball dropped to the ground and they lost. Unlucky and clearly anticlimactic. MVP was Andres Hernandez.
The Frosh championship game also saw a team, “The Brotherhood”, coming out of the loser’s bracket and overcome adversity. They beat a strong “Titanic Swim Team” 2 games in a row for the Division win.
