REMINDER: RADY’S CHILDREN’S HOSPITAL TOY DRIVE! Help fill St. Augustine’s New Sleigh with toys for the children in the hospital! Deadline to bring in toys or gift cards is Friday, December 14th! Bring the toys to the Campus Ministry Office! Toys must be in original packaging, but do not have to be gift wrapped.
REMINDER: INTERACT CLUB IS SPONSORING MOVERS FOR MILITARY BEFORE THE CHRISTMAS SEASON. Movers for Military will be collecting gently used shoes and clothes and new hygiene products, blankets, towels, socks, and underwear. All items will go to those who served or have served in the U.S. military. Drop off all items to room 316 by Friday, Dec. 14th.
INTRAMURAL BASKETBALL, that’s right sports fans, it’s time to hoop it up and play some intramural basketball. Homeroom teachers have intramural basketball rosters. Basketball play will start immediately upon our return to school from Intersession. Anyone wishing to play basketball must have a roster submitted by Friday, Dec. 14. Also, if you are interested in working as a basketball referee, please sign up with Coach Linville. Thank you.
THE SAINTS RUGBY TEAM PLAYED LCC THIS WEEKEND IN A FINAL PRE-SEASON WARM UP. The Saints were victorious in a 17-7 win. Standout players were Mike Cross and Aidan Konja. The Saints will start league play on Sat Dec 8 versus Fallbrook. The JV start at 1230 and the varsity kick off at 230. The team is also sponsoring the Toys for Tots Program. We hope you can donate a new, unwrapped gift. You can drop off a gift in the box in front of room 229 or in the box in front of the Commons. See Mr. Dent or Mike Colucci if you have any questions.
SAINTS INTRAMURAL SUPERBOWL NEWS: Congratulations to Mr. Grandados’ homeroom, 3RD STRING KICKERS, for winning this year’s SuperBowl. It took 4 overtime periods, but Capt. Luke Scheper finally hauled in a TD catch for the 18-12 victory. Earning SuperBowl MVP honors were Luke Scheper, Jakob Christian, and Charlie Rhee. Congratulations to Mr. Crouse’s junior homeroom, PHENOM BASKETBALL, for a hard-fought SuperBowl. Mr. Linville and Mr. Ozdowski thank everyone, especially the referees, for a great flag football season. If you see an intramural referee, tell them thanks. Saints’ intramurals are nothing without the student referees. Thanks again, good luck on finals, enjoy Christmas and Intersession, and we’ll see you for some exciting intramural basketball action in February. Saints’ intramurals are faaaaaaaaaaaaaaaaantastic!
