New this year all Christian Service Hours must be turned in on official agency letterhead
Sophomore Christian Service continues under the theme of “Organizations helping Others.” The Sophomore class will offer at least 25 hours to one of the following three community agencies: a School, a Parish or a hospital. Service opportunities at these agencies can include, but are not limited to teaching CCD, assisting with patient care, working at an after-school program, coaching an athletic team or working in a Parish office.
Each student is invited and encouraged to complete all or a part of their service work during the summer. The students must obtain the Campus Ministry approval and any necessary time sheets and forms before they begin their work. In addition to the Service Opportunities which can be found in the Campus Ministry office, there will also be monthly trips to the Augustinian sponsored orphanage in La Gloria, Mexico and to St. Vincent de Paul to serve food to the homeless.
