The Process

Dear Friends,

Congratulations on being concerned parents and relatives who are interested in St. Augustine High School as the right place for your young man. We have served the San Diego Catholic community for 80 years and we continue to offer a college prep curriculum with an emphasis on preparing our students to excel in an ever-changing world.

This brochure will both answer questions you may have about Saints, and give you a profile of our teachers, our course of study, our sports programs, and the activities available for your son. Our school is purposely small (some 700 students) to provide personal attention in a community setting, yet large enough to offer a challenging curriculum and competitive teams in 13 sports.

We have not spared efforts to provide our young men with a "full service" school: a full-time college counselor, a full-time athletic trainer, a full-time personal counselor. Our active Board of Directors helps Saints remain on the cutting edge in technology, science, and computer instruction. Our enriched Fine Arts curriculum is blessed with multi-levels of art, an extensive music program available to all students, drama, and the Saints Marching Band.

There's much more that makes up the unique St. Augustine experience. By way of example, we have a Shepherd Program, a Turtle Shop, the "Pit", and Ted's. But best of all, we have a real life mix of young men gathered from all over San Diego to grow in mind, in heart, and in body, in a safe place with clear Catholic values.

If you feel that Saints would be a good fit, please contact us. We are proud of our young men and our school. We will be happy to share it with you.
