Mrs. Kathleen Walp, Head Swim Coach

The Saints Swimming program has a JV and a Varsity team. Saints Swimming competes in the Western League of the City Conference. From 2005-2009 Saints Swimming swam undefeated on its way to 5 consecutive Eastern league championships. In 2016 our playoff season consisted of the 18-team City Conference Swimming Championships and CIF Division II Swimming Championships and State Regional meet in Fresno California.

As part of the Saints swim team we have the opportunity to live and experience the Augustinian values and create memories that will last a lifetime. The Augustinian values, which guide everything that we do at Saints, are expressed through the sport of swimming as follows:

  • Truth– the pursuit of excellence. We grow in the truth by exploring the mental, physical, and spiritual dimensions of sport.
  • Love – competition. Derived from the Latin word com petere, competition means “to strive together.” In our pursuit of victory we engage our opponents in the spirit of cooperation, pushing each other to test the bounds of human potential.
  • Community – The Brotherhood of Saints. Saints Swimming and Diving is a team sport. The joys of the pursuit of excellence and competition are multiplied when shared in community.
