GOLFERS: If you are planning on playing on the team this spring, there is a golf team meeting Wednesday at lunch in Mr. Isaak’s room. Bring your lunch as the meeting will begin sharply at the beginning of lunch for all those interested in playing on the golf team this year. ATTENTION ALL STUDENTS: Would you like to be a newspaper writer? If so, the staff of The Augustinian will hold its first meeting today in Mr. Bachynsky’s room at lunch. The Augustinian is the official school newspaper of Saint Augustine High School, written by the students, for the students. So come to room 318 and join our staff! Freshmen are welcome!

MESSAGE FROM BR BARNEY: Mass Band practice will take place TODAY, Wednesday after school from 2:00 p.m. to 2.45 p.m. in the Band Room – Rm 108. We welcome old and new members to enliven the liturgy for the Feast of St Augustine this Thursday.
THE SAINTS PLAYERS IS PLEASED TO ANNOUNCE AUDITIONS FOR THE FALL MUSICAL, GODSPELL! They will be in Room 317 on Tuesday, August 26 and Wednesday, August 27 from 2:45-5:00 p.m. All are welcome. Athletes too! No experience necessary. Come prepared with a song to sing, or if you don’t have one, Happy Birthday will do! See Mr. Bernens if you have any questions.
MATH TUTORS – if you have been a math tutor for Mr. Isaak in the past or are a good math student and would like to begin tutoring this year, there will be a math peer tutoring meeting TODAY Tuesday at lunch in Mr. Isaak’s room. If you are involved in a zero block class but want to tutor after school, we will have a way to make that happen this year! Again, all students interested in being a math peer tutor should bring their lunch to Mr. Isaak’s room Tuesday at lunch.
FROM FR. BOB – AN ADDENDUM FOR OUR MASS ON THURSDAY, AND ALL OUR SCHOOL MASSES.
To enhance our gathering and entrance procession, we will be incorporating a processional cross and three banners. The three banners will remind us of our core Gospel and Augustinian values of love, truth, and community. They will be placed in our worship area.
Chris Callipari and other students who participated in the SAVI – Student Augustinian Values Institute – witnessed the use of the banners at other Augustinian schools, and thanks to several donations we were able to make them become a reality for us! Thank you Chris for your leadership in this!
