Craig
da Luz, Librarian

Craig
da Luz is the fourth full-time librarian in the history of
St. Augustine High School. Prior to his appointment, he was
a librarian and teacher for three years at St. Columba School
in Serra Mesa. Craig currently holds a Bachelor of Science
Degree and a Masters in Education. Craig is a graduate of
St. Augustine, class of 1993. His three brothers were also
Saints graduates, classes of 1983, 84, and 91. Craig played
baseball, soccer and football at Saints (lettering 10 times).
Craig played collegiate baseball at Fresno State and professionally
for four years with the Detroit Tigers organization.
Among his memberships include the American Library Association,
National Catholic Education Association, The San Diego Independent
School Librarians' Association, International Sports and Science
Association, Professional Baseball Players Association, The
American Notary Association, California Notary Association,
and The National Notary Association.
When Craig is not in-servicing students or staff, managing
the library, or teaching his physical science classes he can
be found assistant coaching the varsity baseball team or the
junior varsity football team. Craig is also a certified fitness
trainer and a mobile notary public and serves the surrounding
communities of San Diego. His hobbies include surfing, various
other sports activities, and reading.
