Financial Aid News Opens the Door to Financial Aid to All High School Seniors Students who plan on applying for nonfederal student aid may apply after October 1, 2005 by submitting the College Board's PROFILE form. The PROFILE application is not the same as the FAFSA (Free Application for Federal Student Aid). PROFILE is mainly used by private colleges and universities across the country. If you are applying to schools such as the University of Southern California, California Institue of Technology, Occidental College, Loyola Marymount, Santa Clara, Stanford, Merrimack, Harvard, University of Pennsylvania, and Notre Dame---just to name a few... you will need to file the PROFILE, in addition to the FAFSA.
